For some time now HTC have been considered the manufacturer most synonymous with cutting edge Android handsets. From the original G1, to the Nexus One, Desire, Evo 4G, Hero, G2 and more if you wanted the latest and greatest that Google had to offer you there was almost certainly an HTC handset to fill that need. So it was with some anticipation that Android Insights looked forward to the unveiling of the new range of handsets they would be unveiling at MWC 2011. But instead of cutting edge specs to match the Samsung Galaxy S2 and Motorola
Atrix or the unique design and functionality of the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play what we got seemed more like a gentle evolution rather than the revolution we hoped to see. But are we being unnecessarily harsh? Have HTC actually let us down, or in our rush to blindly obsess with dual core processors, ever increasing RAM and niche features such as webtop docks, have we ultimately lost sight of what HTC have always delivered on - value for money and a great user experience?
